  • Abandoned Animals Association: Prestatyn, North Wales:
    Based in Prestatyn, North Wales, the Abandoned Animals Association consists of a dedicated group of people committed to the long-term care and rehoming of unwanted and unloved animals.
  • Altrincham Cheshire Branch of the RSPCA: A special registered charity, receive no state aid and are responsible for raising the funds needed by the branch to support their work. Work closely with the Inspectors providing direct animal welfare services covering Altrincham, Hale, Timperley, Partington, Sale, Kutsford and Northwich.
  • Animal Care Morecambe, Lancaster & District: Animal Care, a charity local to Morecambe, Lancaster and district that re-homes dogs, cats, and miscellaneous small animals
  • Animals in Distress (Littleborough, Lancs) A sanctuary in Lancashire dedicated to the well being of all kinds of animals

  • Ark on the Edge: Woodland Co. Durham: Rescue/sanctuary and Wildlife Education Centre. Teaching centre for animal care courses. No kill policy, takes any animal wild or domestic providing we have room and expertise to look after correctly.
  • Barnsley and District Animal Welfare: Rescues & rehomes dogs in South Yorks and West Yorks area. Registered Charity.
  • Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary  A very nice site with details of animals available for re-homing. Kid's page (For Children - not young goats)
  • Borders Animal Welfare Association: Earlston, Scottish Borders: Cares for unwanted cats, dogs, and small animals. Also care for and rehabilitate wildlife
  • Bradford and District RSPCA : West Yorkshire: A local branch of the national RSPCA, providing animal re-homing and veterinary services in and around Bradford, West Yorkshire
  • Brumley Brae Kennels: Elgin, Moray: We re-home rescue, unwanted or abandoned dogs found by the Police and Dog Warden in Moray (IV30) area.
  • Chesterfield & North Derbyshire Branch RSPCA They are an animal shelter that take in unwanted animals and rehome them.
  • Claws'n'Paws Hartlepool: Hartlepool: Volunteer Organisation which is a Regd. Charity assisting the fostering, adopting, rehoming and rehab of small domestic and wild birds and animals that are injured, abused, sick or homeless.   • Capricorn Animal Resuce: North Wales & North West: We rescue and rehome Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Ferrets, Rodents and Wildlife
  • Destitute Animal Centre (Bolton) This  centre re-homes approx 2000 dogs and cats every year and has a non-destruct policy. Very informative and entertaining site. Vets pages, homes wanted, success stories etc.
  • Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre: An independant charity that rescues and rehomes unwanted and stray dogs. We neuter, vaccinate, chip and homecheck for all our dogs. We have a non-destruction policy, and are members of the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes.
  • Eden Animal Rescue: Shap, Cumbria: A small charity providing care and attention for animals in need, mainly dogs, cats and small mammals.
  • Ella Street Sanctuary: Hull: The Sanctuary was founded in 2012 and has provided shelter, medical care, training and new homes for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, hamsters and guinea pigs.

  • Hull Animal Welfare Trust The Trust is dedicated to rescuing all kinds of animals. (Primarily cats and dogs) Based at Southcave E.Yorks this charity is run totally by volunteers and private fund raising.
  • Kayshill Animal Sanctuary: West Auckland, County Durham: Provide safety and shelter for animals in need. Rehome, dogs, rabbits, cats and rodents and provide a permanent home if needed to pigs, donkeys, horses and a lot of other animals.   • RSPCA: Leeds, Wakefield and Five Towns: We rehome and rehabilitate cats, dogs and rabbits and provide animal welfare support in the local community
  • Macclesfield SE Cheshire and Buxton Branch - RSPCA: Cheshire Rehoming center for Cats and Dogs. We currently have many cats waiting for loving homes.
  • Manchester & Salford RSPCA: RSPCA Manchester and Salford Branch rehome dogs, cats,rabbits and guinea pigs. We receive no funding from the national RSPCA or the government. As a small charity we do not have an animal centre, call us for more info.

  • Pet-Tacular: Muir of Ord, Nr. Inverness: Pet-Tacular is a rescue centre for small animals, situated in the Highlands of Scotland. We take in and re-home almost any caged animal, but we unfortunately do not have facilities for dogs and cats. Pet-Tacular also offers a free advice service and an animal hotel, the profits of which go to the rescue centre.
